11 Months Old

It has been a long time since my last post. Either I am too busy, too tired, or the batteries are dead in the camera. Anyway, things are going well. Lane loves going to the sitter as he loves to play with bigger kids. Mondays are always his rough day. He wants to be held the whole day and is a bit cranky. The rest of the week he is just fine! He is growing like a weed. Still no teeth! He gums everything. He wants to eat everything we have. He eats cheerios, crackers, french fries, chicken, bread, you name it and he eats even without any teeth. We are trying to transition to the sippy cup but he is not liking it all that well. He will drink water out of it but not his formula. We are close to transitioning to real milk as well. Let's hope it is a smooth one. He is still holding on to the furniture as he goes around the house. He will stand on his own for a few seconds but hasn't let go as he moves yet. He does push his firetruck around all by himself, so maybe we are close to walking. He can throw the ball, which you know Daddy loves that!!! He is a climber, we have to keep him out of the office as he climbs up on the fish tank at every chance. We finally picked a Halloween costume for him. I couldn't decide so I just got the giraffe at Babies R Us. I tried it on him yesterday and he is the most adorable giraffe!!! Derrick and I had a good 20 minute laugh as he motored around the house in it. I will have to get some pictures. We are having his party this weekend too while it is still warm. I can't believe he will be 1 year old in 3 weeks! This year has gone by too fast!!! Derrick is enjoying his Wednesdays off with Lane too. They get some special time without Mommy. Well, that about wraps it up!

Here are some pics from about a week ago. We went to a small town festival and Lady Antebellum, the country group, played a free concert. Lane enjoyed himself!!!

Here is Lane on his way to the bathroom. This is his favorite place! He loves water!!! He will go down the hall to his bathroom and keep peeking around the corner when he thinks it is bathtime. He will stay down there and keep peeking at you until you come and give him his bath. Too cute. You also have to put him in the tub while the water is still running so he can play in it. Not spoiled much is he!!!!

I have been checking to see if you have posted new pictures and to see how things are going with work and babysitter. Glad things are going well, even though you guys are probably very tired. Can't wait to see the little giraffe!!
