Here are some pictures from our mini vacation. We took a couple of days and went the the zoo in Indianapolis and the Air Force Museum in Dayton. It was really nice and Lane had a blast. The zoo in Indy is so cool. You can touch the sharks! Lane and Daddy loved it!!! The polar bears, walrus, sea lions, penguins, and dolphins were all behind glass so you could see them right up close - - it was awesome. Take a good look at the walrus and sea lion Aunt Lori - - hee hee!!!! :)
The Air Force Museum was in Dayton, Ohio. This is where the Wright Brothers invented the plane and how the air force started. The museum is free with free parking - - nice. They have all the planes from the beginning to what they use now and even a small section on space and how they work with NASA. It was so big we did not get to see it all. They even have on old Air Force One. Every year, they have a Tattoo - military celebration. It is right there on the base with the museum and it too is free! They have concerts and flyovers of some pretty cool planes. Lane loved it!!!! He was not scared at all! They awarded some medals and even held an induction for those entering the air force. The Military Band played and they also have a couple of amazing singers - - it was really outstanding. They also had the most amazing fireworks display. I have some video of the flyovers but I am having some trouble loading them up so hopefully I will get them up soon.
