This was my first week back at school and what a tough one it was. Lane is fine and doing well at the sitters - he likes to go and play with the his new friend Zoe. Mom is the one in shambles. The first day was bad but it did get better as the week went on. I could see that he was happy and safe during the day which eased my mind. Derrick will be working 4 - 10 hour shifts now and will have Wednesdays off. That will work out great - Lane will go to the sitter 2 days, stay home with Dad, and then go back for 2 days. I am a little more happy now and Derrick starts these shifts this next week. Thank you to all the family, friends, an colleagues that have given me the encouraging word! It is nice to be in a set routine everyday and have some adult interaction. The year should go smooth and some of the students were actually glad to see me!
